Healthy tea is a large source of polyphenols, which are antioxidants . These have interchangeable health properties to vitamin C. Healthy green tea contain numerous main polyphenols, while the most common chemical is epigallocatechin gallate, known as EGCG. This is the most common component of green tea.
Chinese tea also contains caffeine, a huge stimulant, although in much smaller quantities than can be found in other teas or in coffee.
