Does aerobics indoors still prove as beneficial as outdoor exercise?
The Wii fit from Nintendo enables people to select from around 46 exercise games across four main sections: yoga styles, body building mini games, anaerobic exercises, and balance exercises. To play Wii fit games, the user has to stand on the new Nintendo Wii Board device that comes with it. The board, which looks like a bigger bathroom slate, allows weights of as much as 300 pounds or thereabouts. It is powered by four AA batteries so make sure that you get a battery charger as it can be a bit of a nuisance without one. There are about 4 sensors within the peripheral that discover where your feet are positioned. The sensores can also monitor your center of gravity, and uncover your total weight.
Wii fit exercises get the user to do situps on the spot or do a hula hoop motion. These kinds of exercises can give useful workouts, but they are not quite as effective as a true workout session at the gym. It is difficult to say exactly how less useful they are, but I will mention that they are a good beginning, but not the greatest kind of workouts to get.
